Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to forest trails along the Virgin River. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden. The beautiful river provides the opportunity for the growth of the most deeply green cottonwood trees. These trees create a colorful play with other plant growth in this most popular park with over four million annual visitors.
