Sparta, Wisconsin, Leon Valley Campground
We chose Sparta because one of the oldest bike trails America’s originates here. We checked into the campground “Leon Valley” to get good air conditioning power. Weather here in Wisconsin is hot (85 and kind of humid even at 9pm). I thought I was getting away from the Florida heat……………but……..oh well!!! Nice campground, however, had to go to the pavilion to be connected to WIFI.

We had a wonderful and productive day and exercised a ton. For me the Sparta bike ride was an absolute “dream come true”. The trail is 18 miles long and at some point we had to push our bikes through two separate tunnels. Each one is about 3000 feet long and dark inside. Flashlights are required and before you enter the tunnel there is a sign asking everybody not to disturb the bats while walking through……….creepy……..
The trail took us through typical Wisconsin countryside. Loved the rolling hills and all the farms.

Will I see the light at the end of the tunnel......................????????

BIKE TRAIL WENT THROUGH NORWALK - wishing creamery were still open!!!
