Mesa Verde National Park is in southwest Colorado. It's known for its well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings, notably the huge Cliff Palace.

The ancient Native American village of Mesa Verde, features numerous ruins built by ancient Pueblo people known as the Anasazi. The Anasazi made this stone dwelling, Cliff Palace, their home in the 1200s.

It was impressive to stand in front of the dwellings thinking about their history. We also hiked about three miles to see the petroglyps that are original and were created around 1200 AD.
