Rising above a scene rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, the Teton Range stands monument to the people who fought to protect it. These are mountains of the imagination.

Early French voyageurs named the rangeles trois tétons("the three nipples") after the distinct breast-like shapes of its peaks, from which the modern name is derived. The highest peak "Grand Teton" stands a majestic 13,775 feet tall.
